FF #96: HAWKGIRL (1989)

And here's the most recent Hawkgirl, so far as I know, taking on the Amazon as well.

P.S. Guess I should note that this pic doesn't Hawkgirl in the best light, but it's only just for Wonder Woman to get payback, after getting stomped by so many lesser lights.

FF #95: GEM GIRL VS/ WONDER WOMAN

Another of Wonder Woman's short contretemps with a female JLA opponent.

FF #94: FALIS, MURDER PRINCESS

Cutting down the odds with her opponents...

FF #93: ELASTI-GIRL

 Bulldogging, giant-girl style.

FF #92: DALE ALLEN

The Dale Arden of Alex Raymond's FLASH GORDON was courageous, but probably not that skilled as a fighter for the most part. However, some follow-ups, like this 1979 issue from Gold Key, upgraded Dale considerably.

FF #91: COLLEEN WING AND MISTY KNIGHT

The Daughters of the Dragon, support-characters for IRON FIST, got one of their best shots at a series in a two-part DEADLY HANDS OF KUNG FU story, full of mucho martial arts by the late Marshal Rogers.

FF #90: BLACK CANARY

After fans celebrated DC's revival of the Justice Society, Julie Schwartz made a few minor attempts to revive a few of the members as possible features. I doubt the editor really thought these features would be popular-- they were all about married, forty-year old supermen and superwomen (though they were drawn to look twenty-ish). BRAVE AND BOLD #61 teamed up Starman and Black Canary, the latter seen doing below dispensing martial mayhem. It should be noted that absolutely no one cared subsequently to revive the original Starman-- instead, they kept using the name for different characters, because Original Starman was so bloody dull. But Black Canary must have grabbed someone, because she got transported into the main continuity (and returned to a twenty-something status), thus leading to a rich career from then on, albeit usually not in her own series.

FF #89: AKARI AND YUKARI NISHIHARU

Haruka Nishiharu, one of the main characters of GIRLS SAURUS, got a little aid in wreaking violence on her boyfriend (?) from sisters Akari and Yukari. That makes about as much sense as anything in this goony comic.

FF #88: YUKA

Not so tender cousins in ELFEN LIED, as Yuka kicks up a fuss with her cousin Youta.

FF #87: WILDCAT WESKIT

Only one appearance for this frontier hellion, but she makes a lasting impression.

FF #86: VAMPIRELLA AND WITCHBLADE

There are a lot of femme-teamups out there in comics-land. But how many sport both a double punchout of a villain and two hotties critiquing each other's fashion choices?

FF #85: TITANIA (1984)

The last and most-used of the Titanias, if not particularly better than the other two. Here she is clobbering the Other Orange Man.

FF #84: STARFIRE (1980)

I never bought the character of the Titans Starfire. She's a warrior princess, and yet also a wide-eyed Little Orphan Annie (even if she borrowed the blank eyeballs from Storm of the X-Men). But George Perez really got into the dynamics of her fights with sister Blackfire.

FF #84: ROGUE

 Rogue Rage, X-MEN #195.

FF #83: PHANTOM LADY

 Judo lessons with Phantom Lady.

FF #82: NIGHTSHADE

Nightshade, one of the first athletic heroines of the Silver Age, appeared in CAPTAIN ATOM #82.

FF #81; MARY MARVEL

Not a hallmark of fair play here: Mary Marvel thrashes Nightowl, who is (a) much older, (b) wearing glasses, and (c) has absolutely no way to fight back against the invulnerable heroine.

FF #80: LOIS LANE

I already have other entries here on Lois Lane but this one's pretty trippy, in that we see a small group of miniature Justice League clones getting clobbered by a corresponding coterie of tough Lois-clones.

FF #79: KOTORI ITSUKA

In the looney comedy-action manga DATE A LIVE, protagonist Shido is tasked with asking a bunch of sexy female invaders on dates in order to pacify their violent tendencies. His adoptive sister Kotori forces him to do this, but also reacts with jealousy when he's with other girls. Sometimes she even attacks Shido, as with this gut-kick, just for the sake of laughs.
