JUNGLE GALLERY

 Some Sheena scenes circa 1945.

Here's the jungle queen punching out an ape, one of her better feats. The dwarf in the background, Lukano, poses as a "master of animals" to form a jungle empire. Also, though both the cover and the interior story display the title, "Veldt of the Vampire Apes," no entity, animal or human, living or dead, shows off any vampire-like aspects.

Hawkina is one of Sheena's better enemies. Apart from her drugged war-club, she also uses trained hawks and tribesmen who glide around with winged costumes.

Bungle in the jungle with King Kongo (at least the writer had a sense of humor). Aside from him gaslighting Sheena with a fake severed head of her mate, he claims that rather than marrying her himself, he's going to subject her to increased humiliation by making her marry his dwarf servant.

This cover references King Kongo and his harem and thus was probably originally intended for the previous issue. No kings or harems here, but there is a weird contrivance where plotters nearly electrocute Sheena with a pair of rigged-up female dummies.
